Planned Parenthood claims that it doesn’t even use federal money to help pay for abortions. This claim is supposed to appease people that are pro life. Whether you’re pro life or pro choice, let’s be clear. The organization performs hundreds of thousands of abortions each year. Does it make you sick to your stomach? There are alternatives to Planned Parenthood, and the best choice is adoption.
None of us have the right to judge others.
I might be pro life, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to pass judgment. It can be hard for us not to do that of course. Yet there are so many different situations out there, and people have to learn as they live. I have talked to a loving mother who once had an abortion, and it ate at her for years. I have talked to a friend of mine whose girlfriend was about to have an abortion, and he was for it yet torn up as well.
Regardless of what you believe, having an abortion is not an easy decision to make.
It is one that follows you for the rest of your life. Adoption isn’t always an easy alternative for one reason or another. However, there are so many people out there trying to have kids, and they are unable. There are same sex couples who want to adopt children, too.
Why don’t we try to bridge that divide?
If less abortions were performed, there would be less childless couples. Adoption would start to work for more people. No system or aspect of life is perfect, but what happens when a person’s choice to live is taken away. We call abortion rights ‘pro choice,’ but there is only one person who gets to make a choice, and that’s not the innocent person waiting to be born.
Again, I do not speak in judgment.
Each person has to make decisions for him or herself. We are all in the same boat here. It’s when we focus on not having to be right but doing right that we start to see more clearly.
Sides could argue abortion all day long.
Yet if you collected all the aborted babies and grouped them together for a photo of what this death looks like, it would make everyone sick. We have to open our eyes and think about what’s right. We don’t have to stand on some point or premise that we feel is intellectually proven. This is a matter of the heart.
Some people see the topic ‘alternatives to Planned Parenthood‘ and consider the meaning to be other choices for abortion centers. There are other options if you’re looking to get an abortion. If you are, there is no judgment on my tongue. What I will offer you is this. I have compassion for you because I know a decision like that can eat at a person.
I urge you to make the decision to seek out an alternative solution. There are factors you’re not even thinking about right now that you will understand later about your decision. You want to make the right one.
